Moved water pickup down, pressure seems to be good. Vessel view was not reading any pressure at all. Mechanical gauge was fine. Then oil pressure went erratic on port motor. What's the odds of having 3 bad pressure sensors. Yup just my luck. Waiting on one sensor.

Thanks for the update! |

Got to run today. No alarms, water pressure is great 15 -25 lbs. Ran for about an hour, mostly cruising 4000 to 4500 rpm. Now checking for leaks loose bolts and fluid levels.
back out tomorrow. |
Good luck today!! |

Been crazy busy with jet fuel. Got to run boat a bit more. Water pressures are perfect, new pickup did the trick. Working on a idling issue, could be i didn't use merc map sensors, just changed them out. Hope to try this week. Boat is absolutely awesome. |
Looks phenomenal. Glad the bugs are being worked out. Play with any speed yet? |
The dry fits for the sea deck came in this week test fit them. Looked good should have the mats in about 2 weeks. Boat tuning is coming along, things I learned this week the gm map sensors are not quite the same as the Mercury's. The Optima blue top with the light grey bottom doesn't work the best as a cranking battery. Need the dark grey bottom one. The light grey one doesn't seem to recover voltage quick enough sends smart craft into alarm for low voltage. But other than that things seem to be working fine.

Great to hear!! |

Awesome boat, build and thread. I’ve really enjoyed following along on this one! I hope to see the boat in person some day. Keep up the good work! |
Any updates? We need video of this beast running!

Sorry been flat out with the jet fuel. Haven't been back out since I put in the new batteries. I don't have a good video of it yet. Haven't got to really run it out yet. Will be interesting to see where it ends up after we get to play with trim and finish dialing it in.

Increase water pressure by slowing it down and allowing it the heat transfer better
|
That’s what I was thinking. Just making sure.
|
Any updates??!!

Rerouted some oil lines. Just got my 40ft. Piece of -16 to run from my transom scoop to the bow ballast tank. Need to install my seadeck. Will take some pics. Soon.

Keith just read this from the beginning... Man you have done a phenomenal job on your boat... Im glad I hadn’t had to wait as long as everyone else had to. And to see it get this far along. And this close to you being out on the water with it. Great job and the best of luck with it and many years of pleasure with it...as long as the others don’t get it from you ha ha...

Thanks, It has been fun, a project that my son and I have done together. I owe thanks to alot of people in the business. I have to make a list and post it. Will try to do that this week.

Currently working on putting new fender on trailer. Waiting for good weather to go out and run again. Think im going to need bigger props. I have 30's probably going to end up with a 32 or 33. |
I have a good set of new 31s.

Then you need to hook him up. Lend loan deal, help him get that Fountain to run a number. |
Reggie has been a big part of this build. I'm not sure the 31's will be enough. At the end of last year on our final outing we were able to get in a good pull, I'm sure that we will increase our numbers once we get trimming down better. We have a garmin 360 video hooked up it also interfaces with the smartcraft. (My engines are built on the 525 platform) in reviewing the video we blow through the torque band pretty fast, so our feeling is to load the engines more in the 3500 to 5800 rpm range. I do have a set of 34's I can try but waiting for weather.
|
I guess I'm not smart enough to post the video:grinser010:
|
Damn!
|
|
110 mph with which props?... good number for your shakedown run of the year
|
The 30's.
|
That’s awesome!!
|
Great job
