Don’t drill too much, you will hit oil.

Loks like it was doing it's job though. Now get some high quality hand lotion...

Used a left hand drill bit and it came right out. Going to have to tap the other side as the threads are a little damaged.

I am unsure on this. The boat came from Loto for sure. One owner. It does looks like something impacted the front of the skeg that potentially broke the paint and started the corrosion. I sanded it down and painted it over the weekend. It looks a lot better now. Just need to order a new impeller and get the Anode in and ill be ready for the water.

Got the rest of the parts in and hoping to bring the boat home Sunday morning. Ill have to tap the threads for the drive anode, install the new impeller. (housing cracked on me 0 water pressure...) Then hopefully put it on the water Easter weekend for a quick test drive before the harbor hope! Kids soccer is really screwing up the schedule as of late.

Was able to get the Impeller done and working, the new Prop Anode on, and the spare tire mounted to the trailer. (man did it hurt to drill into a brand new trailer) Hopefully going to test in the next couple of weeks before the trip to LOTO for the harbor hop! The kiddos love the boat and are ready to get out there also.

They sell brackets that bolt around the frame for spare tire. No drilling required. 😉

Really, it's done, looks great, end of a well done project.

Love your 29, having thoughts of one myself.
