Many people online state that these boats run 75-80 MPH from the factory with this prop, Some switch to a 26P to get more midrange and plane speed, but they still are able to get 74-75.

The boat runs great and I have no issues with it, but when people keep telling me it should go 10mph faster is makes me think there is potentially something wrong with it is all and it has me curious.

I dont expect this boat to go 80 either, but would be nice to see 75 at least like the others are seeing. Ill have to get you a picture of the plug when we go out to the boat tomorrow evening unless someone can post one from a 525 efi. I cannot seem to locate a good picture of one online.

Its a Bravo XR so should be 1.50 ratio, I have not taken anything apart to confirm for sure.
I typically get on plane and without any drive trim get to 60-62 MPH. Then I will start trimming until I start shaving off speed and cant seem to get anything over 68.
That is a lot of slip even at 4900 its over 21%.

Try a good known prop would be my first try. You never know what people do to props.

Had a buddy that bought a boat and it was a POS to get on plane, we checked the props that came with it and someone had cut diameter down for whatever reason.

I have a good friend that is willing to let me borrow her 27P 4 blade Power Tech prop to test. She also has a 28P labbed bravo I could try as well. Ill give this a shot.

My friend had a 1998 29’ fountain with a single 500hp. The boat ran best with a 24 lh hydromotive. We routinely saw 74gps

For reference 24 Hydro is like a 26 Bravo. For some reason Bravo's measure a bit less then marked.

Perfect, This is getting me excited. I know this prop has a small ding in it, but nothing crazy. Ill test the 27 since it is what I have access to and go from there.
