>>>We have been offered a place to dock at Mariners Cove marina in Shinnecock bay. It is located at the south entrance to the Shinnecock canal on the bay side and only a few minutes from Oaklands by boat. They have berths for all the boats and it is within walking distance of a very good restaurant similar to Oaklands. I think this will save a lot of grief with regard to parking if as many boats show up as we expect. Again, the route, time and distance are just about identical.<<<
With regard to the above paragraph, I owe everyone an apology, especially Greg - Fastfountain35. The above was merely a suggestion and I made it sound as if it were a done deal. I forgot that Greg went to great pains to arrange with his friend at Oaklands to accommodate our group. I also forgot that we agreed that plans will stay as established at the last meeting with regard to route, destination, etc. If, however, we get to Oaklands with too many boats, perhaps some of us can proceed to Mariners Cove as an "overflow" destination. We can discuss all at the meeting on Friday. Again, my regrets.

The testosterone is really flowing now! Got the boat back from the shop this afternoon and all is well with the exception of the silent choice...parts not available from Fountain 'til next week, no big deal. Vinnie and Tony at Mariner's Cove are top notch, diagnosed and repaired all my problems, including the engine surge on the port side! They are a conscientious outfit and seem to be headed in the right direction with regard to performance boats and , especially, customer service. It was outstanding and I didn't even buy the boat there! Hope they sell many Fountains and are successful!
In any event, I am back in action...hope to see many of you tomorrow night. Stay well and be safe.

I hope the run went well today! I am pissed that I am unable to be there and glad that the weather is good. Keep in mind what I mentioned a few weeks back about running together to NYC for the NYC Poker Run...I will start a thread about it again in early June. Take care guys...hope today was a success!!!!!
