I am fine with the Moriches/Shinecock and am glad we will do it in the day light . I want to follow FastFountain35 through the Shinecock inlet, the rest of the route I know well. How about May 15th as a day?? With the 16th as a rain\crud date...

OK, May 15th it is...with an alternate of the 16th. That's a Saturday and Sunday. As mentioned, I will coordinate with the people who will be trailering in. We will meet at the Heckshire State Park launching ramp at 0800 and proceed from there to the mouth of the Connetquot river. As Nolimits said, it's a good place to connect, good water and fuel available. I will check with the dock and make sure they will be open and ready for us. I am fairly certain that they do NOT have 93/94 octane, just 89. My guess is that most of us trialering in will fuel on land where we can get the necessary octane. Anyone out there need the good stuff?

Steve, I would like to ask you to check the restaurant/docking issue if you have time. Just let us know what you feel is best and we will use that as the terminus.

Let me see if I have this right; We will lauch from Heckshire Park, meet all others at the mouth of the Connetquot (a five minute run from the launch ramp) and proceed from there to raise a little hell! My count so far is:

Myself
Fastfountain35
Nolimits
Wetkitty42
Carney + 1

That makes a total of six; like to hear from:

Katapult
Dutrasystem
PatBrennan
Fountainicbm#1

You guys still interested? Please post.

114 days and counting!

GF

I like the name that Fastfountain coined...with one exception. I would suggest we use SSTBB - South Shore Thunder Boat Blast - since that more accurately describes the route...can tee shirts be far behind?? Let me know what you think.

Tricky919,

I know this run is a bit of a stretch by water from Portchester and we had a couple of hits from guys in Conn. who probably feel the same. I am still interested in a LI Sound run, again perhaps in June. Do you want to start another thread and see what develops? I know I would do it in a second and I am sure that Nolimits would be in too. Let me know, I would love to do one run a month during the season.

Sounds good i think a run in the sound would be good we can get guys from both sides of the sound, make run to the city and than hang out for the day, I'm sure I could get a pretty good group together. June would be good. If we could get a couple of these Runs going plus the poker runs we could have some fun and meet a lot of new people............I'll try to put a date together in June and post it to get feed back...........Ricky

this is is going to be awsome. scratch katapult that was me,i used that name at my fathers house, before i got a pc. 93 octane at the connetquot river, that is usually where i fuel up. for the guys who want to do the sound, lets try to complete this run first then we can move on to the next outing. if one of you guys want to set up the sound run go for it , this south shore run is keeping us pretty busy. i am in for the fifteenth, i will look into the t-shirt thing and keep you posted. hey g- pm me with your phone number, we can talk more.
