bryanspeedracer-
I've been reading your posts & I think it is very possible that your boat is the "sister ship" to mine. A Baltimore dealer had 2 turbo 10 meters in 1984 & I have one of them. I bought my boat in 1991. It had sat for 2 years neglected & in the weather. I restored the boat & kept it original. I still run the turbo power & SSM 2 drives every summer weekend on the Chesapeake. Even the gelcoat & paint is factory. The other 10M the dealer had was supposed to look just like mine but with orange stripes. My boat is a white hull with red & blue stripes & Executioner down the side.

Steve.... Does yours have the double stacked vents in the eng comp? Reggie told me when they switched from the Gale banks turbo engs to in 88/89 the Gentry twin turbo, they installed double stacked vents to allow easier access to work on the outside turbos.

My boat was Reggies factory race boat which in 89 he used to set a world speed KILO record in Sarasota, (117.8). They only built 5 of these boats, and these are the ones with the double stacked vents from the factory, and all had boxes with SSMIV's drives.

10x.... My boat has Gale Banks turbos so it does not have the double vents. How does your boat plane with the boxes and SSM IV's? What gear ratios and prop sizes do you run? I can see that you turn the props inboard. I am looking for some photos and than I will try to figure out how to post them.

Steve.... PLANE ??? you gotta be kiddin....TERRIBLE !!! Drives tucked in all the way, tabs down all the way, bring the engs up to 35/3800 rpm, and when your about half way up on plane, back off the throttles, let the props bite, and feather the throttles around 1800/2000 rpm then it JUMPS on plane. Real F'n project gettin it on plane, but once on plane, lookout, its a rocket.
The drive ratios are 1.5 and I usually spin a 17.5X31 4 blade. I also have prs. of 26's, 28's, 29's, and I just picked up a pr of 30's last month.

Steve,

That is the most reliable info yet. The latest is that my boat originally had orange hullsides and it said "Speedwave" in big letters down the side.

If someone can tell me how to post a photo, I will. My pic is too big...

10X did your boat come from the Rochester, New York area. It looks like one I looked at aprox. 3-4 years ago. It was packing some serious HP.

Bryanspeedracer...
I don't have a digital camera , I have been scanning a 4x6 photo and posting that. Is your photo to big for a scanner?
The last three numbers in my hull number are 247. Check to see how close yours are.
