10x: can't wait to see it this summer. I'll be in a few COPS runs and looking forward to partying with the group. I assume you guys party some?? Curious what HP you had. Ck'd out that boat speed calc and 650's would get me 96. Not sure what to do...natural asp or blown setup. Blown sure seems like more maintenence.

Steve,
I'll call tomorrow, Sun. I'm still in the process of sorting my power woes. I'm looking for merlin heads. I also need gauges (update) and throttles.
I just learned how to post. I will post the progress.

10X....I took a long look at that boat when Mike had it. It was a very clean package( going off memory thought he also had a new, or just about new trailer under it also) and he had quite a few nickels in those motors. He had a hell of a stack of receipts on those engines, and I even tooked to the shop that did some of the machine work on them. I was also a little concerned about that fuel injection system as well. It seemed like that was going to be a main in the azz.
But, with (2)small kids, when I looked at the whole package, I had to pass. It was just too much of, what if I change the fuel injection; what if I had some type of muffler system; etc. I decided to continue the search for something with more stock type power.
What type of speeds are you seeing with the blowers?
