Back in the mid 80"s a man named John Lyle had a 10 meter at LOTO with 750's and arneson drives that ran 96 or better.

I just bought three rec port heads (990 castings). Two are clean, bolt-ons w/1.88,2.25 valves; one is bare. I will be looking to complete the one and look for one more or one set that matches the above set. I just bought throttles/shifters too. Progress my friends...

Still kicking around the idea of stroking the blocks

next is gauges (maybe monster...) what do you think?

BSR, I am getting ready to replace my white dash panel if you are interested. It has the cutout for the Merc/Keik shifters and the adapter for use with Gaffrig shifters. I may also have a complete set of red bezels that are almost like new and are only used 2 seasons. Let me know if you are interested.

Bryanspeedracer...
It sounds like you got a deal on your shifters and throttles.
My friend did not have any 990 cyl. heads.
I see that you have found some of them. I may have a used set of Manley Inconel valves at the shop.
You should consider replacing your trim indicator cables.
The lengths needed are 17', 19', 20', 22'.

Steve,

The tab and trim cables were replaced just before I bought the boat. I'm curious about the throttle swap. Can I use the same cables that work with the Morris set up? The heads I bought come with Manley severe duty. I just bought another set of the same valves for cheap so I just need one bare head

Todd,

I am interested in the white pannel. Could you call me?

Thanks- Bryan

Bryanspeedracer...
The cables are the same.
If you can't find another used head, Skoggin Dickie Performance Parts in Texas has the best prices on new.
It sounds like things are coming together for you.
I thought you may like to see what we did for interior.
