Welcome back !! You will like this run. If the Gulf is ruff we will run the intercoastal. No idle zones other than under the bridge. If seas are moderate we can always have the big dogs run the outside with smaller boats in the intercoastal and meet at the bottom end of Charlotte Harbor with all boats running together the last 25 miles to Punta Gorda. Lots of options.

South Seas docks just opened but no restaurants. They do not like go fasters anyway. At this time, they make take anybody they can get.

Another consideration is Tween Waters. Nice pool, sometimes entertainment. Rafting would be a necessity.

I was there in May on Poker Runs America spring Poker Run out of Sarasota. The pics Jay posted in post #6 were taken then. There were over 80 boats there and they fed us all in 2 hours. Handled it very well.

only problem is i go to harpoon harrys all the time, but its always a good time !! its not but 25 miles from venice where i live, seems kind of silly to drive all the way down with the trailer, to drive the boat up by my house only to drive the trailer back again , but i've done crazier. i'll see if i can line some people to fill the boat. with the new XR's drives going on this week im feeling better about running the ocean express in some cool air and letting her breath.
