Ed that was not directed to you personally.
it is just a general statement. ( Post 37 ) after sitting down and talking to Ben for hours we got up to take that picture, and he got a call from the Warden.
They ask me to leave because my belly was showing. Next visit ( post 38 ) I was well cover.
There are always three sides of every story!!

Hello Lucy
I know Mark and you are friends of Ben Kramer and my statements are not intentionally aimed to incense either of you.
My bad feelings toward Ben kramer are fueled by the Detective...Greg Smith that investigated the case. He spent two weeks in the basement of Leavenworth Penitentiary listening to and taping Ben's conversations concerning the shooter Bobby Smith and paying for his legal fees. It is obvious to him that Ben hired Bobby to kill Don Aronow. If there was no connection then he would have said there was none and moved on. A good Detective will always try to eliminate rather than implicate. I'm sure you watched the A&E documentary. We are talking about killing Don Aronow...I met him, talked briefly and liked him. I love his powerboats! I don't think he should have been shot down in the street like a dog and it still tweaks me 20 years later.

This is Augie "The Dog" Zona. I've known Ben since we were teenagers, and I was there from the beginning of Apache. I was in a tomato field next to the MCC waiting for Charlie Stevens and Ben to land the helicopter. It did not go well, and I did 36 months in MCC myself, for my involvement. Robingo is a friend that is helping me write my recollections of that time in my life. I'm not promoting an agenda, or espousing any cause. I know the mention of Ben's name causes strong reactions (see post #102), but the simple truth is I was there.
