I'm not saying he wasn't a very smart man (read, shrude business man). But compairing him to a murdering, drug smuggler is a bit off.

And for the points you made. When you say "hosed" people in deals, are you refering to times like when he bought back the company from Kramer at less of the price and didn't return the upfront cash after the company went tits up? I don't really think that's hosing someone. That's a smart business practice. No one twisted Kramers arm to sell it back to him. Just like no one twisted anyones arm to do business with Don in all his compan buys and sales.

The other point of him selling boats to both sides. He's was in the boat selling business. There's currently Fountains being used by the U.S. Customs, and Fountains being used to smuggler people/drugs. Does this mean Fountain or it's dealers are criminals? I don't think so.

My point being, there are PLENTY of shady people in the Offhshore boating scene that go into custom shops to order boats. You don't think the owners know these people are shady? They don't care who buys the boat as long as it's paid for. That's business, right or wrong. I still don't think that's a reason to compare the two.

I wonder if the relatives of people that died from drug overdoses are going to sue the boat builders for building instruments of death because they transport the drugs?.... Similar to suing the maker of a firearm that was used in a crime. ....

But, drugs are bad.
Anything related to drugs are bad...

Boat's don't use drugs, boats don't sell drugs.
People use drugs. People sell drugs.

That day at Apache, I asked B&B why they were crying. Ben said, "Somebody killed the Old Man". I thought at first he was talking about his dad, Jack. But they told me it was Don Aronow.
When I asked why someone would kill him, Ben said "I guess he f#%ked with the wrong people"
