Hi George,
It was really great seeing you and Elsia on Saturday. Your appearance definitely brought a smile to my face. Seeing you, Rich and Chris together again brings back many memories. Chris’s son Sammy had the “Lavin” take no prisoners look in his eye when he was looking at all those cats. Maybe you should start drawing the next “Jesse James” . I hope your explanation of the consequences of “ in” spinning props on a cat might help avoid some accidents. I have felt this torque effect myself, and the misdirected torque, combined with the catapult force of a sponson being shot up in the air by a hitting a 3 or 4 foot wave at 120 mph might be just enough to roll the boat on its side. and once the boat is up on its side, the natural thing for the hull to do is roll over. Once again, it was great to see you, stay well, and keep healthy.

Ilse and I had a great time and again would like to thank you for your hospilatility and friendship.

I thought the Skaterfest was a great success and look forward to being there next year.

The 36 Skater you did is really a work of art, my compliments.

Thumbs up

George - I enjoyed giving you and Elsie the "lawn dart" ride, and your comments on the boat. (With my drive, at least I never have to worry about spinning the props the wrong way!) I suppose that describing it as "different from a convetional "vee' - somewhere between a cat and a vee" is as close as I'll ever get to getting T2x's approval.

Outrageous - These particular "lawn darts" weren't banned for being dangerous - they were banned for being too fast. (Ask George - he wrote the rules that did it!)

T2x - Hope to get more time to spend with you in the next Skaterfest. Giving rides really cuts into your time, doesn't it? Thank you for all your effort, and (most importantly) for caring.

Here's a quick story. I just got back from taking aquick 95mph blast on the race boat Wazzup (32 viper hull, races with SBI). Once we got back to the dock I asked him which way they spin, he said out. He said he tried to spin in and the boat was uncontrollable. Once I explained the T2x spin theory, (should there be a TM after that?) he understood the torque dynamics and it all became very clear as to what was happening.

More boaters and manufacturers need to hear about this now trademarked theory. I am kind of surprised that Merc does not recommend the spin direction on their drives.

RonP, I believe that as part of the installation instruction that came with my number VI drives the diagrams show the props spinning the correct(T2xTM way)way.

Cool

We V's are gaining a little momentum over in the other thread, but at the expense of a few ruffled feathers....
