We can keep ahead if we start arguing about the correct number of steps to have on a cat.
1?
2?
3?
4?
5?
6(now its really getting out of hand)?

Wait a minute, Too Old - I seem to remember that you were just recently a vee owner...
Besides - The whole step issue is no more resolved here than it is there.

The question is are 5 steps on a 46 footer faster or slower than 5 steps on a 36 footer? or a 26 footer? ...or a 16 footer? How about 46 steps on a 5 footer?

What about the Larson "Million Bubble Ride" from the mid- 60's? It had about 20 small steps, the idea was to break up the water surface with a million bubbles, therefore raising top speed from 37 to 40 mph.Made for good advertising.Funny, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

2 steps 2 outboards 1 large tunnel. Over 100mph. God I love the power to weight ratio...

Now, this is a thread that I really enjoyed reading. There is so much information here that I've already forgotten, that I'm going to go back to the beginning and read it all over again in the coming days!
