Miss Geico vertical tail wing?
#21
Wing has worked better than expected, solid as a rock at 185mph with a 15knot cross wind and in testing we were making 90degree turns at 155mph and no sliding. Didn't push it at all in SIB but we will be testing more before St Claire. The vertical wing is not only there for high speeds, but is actually more effective when running the boat in a crosswind. The CG of the boat is different than last year after all the changes, the wing is giving us more surface area behind the cg where before it had a tendency to push in a crosswind due to about 65% of the surface area being in front of the cg. Now she tracks strait in the crosswind which is exactly what we were hoping for. The back end tightening on turns is an added bonus as well. All in all we are thrilled with the way the boat is performing and we have just begun

stop blocking for Qatar and lets see what that "wing thing" can do!!!!
I hear 185 in turns and then watch you guys push just hard enough to stay in front of the piston boats. I actually thought you guys where heading to Bimini the way you we're turning at the south end?
So in St Clair why not shut down the course and put down a timed lap and see what it'll do?
