I hear 185 in turns and then watch you guys push just hard enough to stay in front of the piston boats. I actually thought you guys where heading to Bimini the way you we're turning at the south end?
No point in running harder than we have too, look what happened to JBS on Sat. I have sponsors, a budget, a CFO and an owner to answer too and it is my job make our team a success. Running hard and breaking something is unacceptable and just plain stupid if I don't have to. Spent a few laps checking all systems, stayed on the outside and tried to stay out of everyones way and then got out of the way, baby steps Dave everything is new in the boat so why push it if I don't have to. I hope JBS is in St Claire so I can push it. 185 was in a bend, not a turn. We will continue trying to make the fastest safest, most reliable offshore Race boat in the world and we will do it at a pace we are comfortable with. When JBS, Aquamania, or anyone else comes out to challenge us, we will be ready and thats when the fun begins

Boat looks awesome Scotty. Keep up the hard work! Tell Marc his next blog should be about the changes you guys have made to the Mystic. That would be super interesting, especially hearing how you guys have had to re-learn her somewhat.

Didn't push it at all in SIB but we will be testing more before St Claire. The vertical wing is not only there for high speeds, but is actually more effective when running the boat in a crosswind. The CG of the boat is different than last year after all the changes, the wing is giving us more surface area behind the cg where before it had a tendency to push in a crosswind due to about 65% of the surface area being in front of the cg. Now she tracks strait in the crosswind which is exactly what we were hoping for. The back end tightening on turns is an added bonus as well. All in all we are thrilled with the way the boat is performing and we have just begun
I think all raceboats that run those speeds should incorporate this system for safety.
