They do race the ocean. The Geico and Aqua-Mania Mystics have not had a delam problem, only JBS.

I believe they delamed the second boat during the Bimini run and could not race Sunny Isles...so this would be the second delam on the second boat. Perhaps they are running it a bit too tight???

A couple of points on TV.....when APBA was on Speed....the F1's and F2S got the most tv time....it was because the racing was so close....even some of the big boys were complainning how there were not getting as much tv time as the small boats....

also...even yesterday in St Clair....in the last race...the people around us we not talking about Gieco...some folks even asked..so they just go around and dont race anyone else....they were excited with the Quatar, WHM and JD race....it was close...even though they are slower...thats what they were saying was cool....

No matter how fast a boat is....once it gose around 1 or 2 times by itself....they don't seen interested after that....thats just what I hear from watching a race....

I had people around asking me questions almost the whole race on the Stock class...because they were swapping positions...and within 4 to 6 seconds between them the whole race....

To a spector at a race....put the fastest boat on the course by themselves and let them do 15 laps and see the interest...and then put 10 to 15 small boats decK to deck for 6 to 7 laps and see which they like better....

And now produce a show with the 1 boat and then the 10 to 15 boats....see which one makes for a good show....

I agree 100%, their is nothing like competition. On the other hand, their is nothing like speed. It's not Geico's fault that nobody else can step up and compete with them on a regular basis. The old F-1 and F-2 were excellent, but so were Alcone, Drambuie, Big-Thunder, Popeyes, etc, etc, etc. They were pretty exciting, awesome competition.
