. Iam glad that she gets it know. Ijust wise Igot it wet this year but with a lmotor not here until july then having to rig it have headers made then find out gas tank was leaking it never happened. I'm going to be pissed if I by it in the or this winter haha. I hope to be able to get back on it march and hit the water by may.

its all in the delivery...
babe.. blew motor with reversion... (explain what that is) and now the boat is worthless without a motor!!

The philosophy I came up with really helps.
It's called drop a zero.
If it cost $10,000.. it was $1,000
If it cost $5,000 .. it was $500
Since zero is nothing... I'm not really lying, it's more of a fib for her own protection. If she know what i really spent she would have a heart attack. We would have matching Defibrillators at the very least!
This if for her own good! It makes me feel good that I am so concerned with here health
I almost forgot!! I also you "I traded some stuff for it". Money is stuff, isn't it?

We had a deal:
1) She bought the lake house
2) I bought the TopGun.
Payments(then) were about equal.
After I year I was out 100k thanks to National Marine and she had 160k in equity.
I am as dumb as I look.

I had a girl friend that wanted me to buy a house for us to live in by seneca mo,, and when i finished a job that i made alot of money on and a few days later she came in the shop and me and brad are looking at 4 brand new turbos sitting next to my boat she says.... how much did those cost.?? my answer......
they cost the down payment on the house in seneca...
few min later she had packed her clothes and was leaving....
probably had the wrong priorities in my younger years....
now I would not only have spent the down payment money on the turbos but the whole price of the house....

My wife was already into boats. When we bought a "big" boat I was proactive and told her this was the worst "investment" we will ever make. It will cost us money but we both enjoy the hobby. After two years of spending $5k per on preventative maintenance she's still on board. Needless to say, I'm not putting much into the boat this off season. Don't want to push my luck.
