I wonder if its any cheaper to do the swap in a truck meant for the Duramax.
I have a 2005 Dually with a 8.1,,,,I got a great deal on it and couldnt pass it up.
If I could get a duramax swap for under 10K I would still be in good shape money wise on the truck.
Cant wait to see how the truck turns out !!!

A duramax H2 is cool as chit, bottom line!!! I can't wait to see the conversion and hear how the thing runs. Plus the extra weight will give her a little extra stability while towing. 15K on a swap or 55k on a vette..... Both are impractical but the guy with the 4dr suv that can tow, haul, and go fast, is getting

ridefast, what drivetrain do you have (2wd,4wd,AWD)? Was it a 4L65E or 4L80E trans? I "thought" they got the 65 but that may have changed over the years.

h2 comes with AWD but when the conversion is done it will be push button 4wd and it was a 4L80E trans but now it is going to be the 6 speed allison.
How long before completion of the H2Beast?? Vids and pics are a must!
