Not only did OL come through in spades with my gear (shirts, jackets, pants, socks, hats, sport-coat, license plates, coolers, etc) so I can hang with you guys, but they are also custom making me an OL logo Speedo with an enlarged schlong pocket and built in penis pump! I'm gonna 'hang' with you Ciggy boys yet!

I'm sure the rigging in the Cig will be sooooooo much better!

A 30' Phantom pleasure with full cabin will run over 100 mph with a single 525?!?!?!?!
The 30' Phantom pleasure version will run 90+ mph with a 525, the OL 29' pleasure version 29' runs 90+ mph with a 525. The 29' OL with a 600 sciMerc runs 101 mph (maybe more with more prop testing). Hope that clarifies any confusion. The OL 29' is very fast, no argument there at all.

My previous post never mentioned a 30' Phantom running 100 mph with a 525, that would indeed be BS. The comparison was a 525 match-up.

You are correct, the 30' Phantom will not run 100mph (it is not in any of my posts) with a 525, but no one made that claim, nor did I make that claim. Re-read my post without inferences.

Do you have any real world data on that? Not trying to doubt what you are saying but I have been around a Phantom or 2 and there is no indication they are THAT fast?

Per the builder and owner of Phantom boats. But this thread is about the OL, so I apologize for taking away from the topic at hand on this new 29' OL.

Sorry, but the post before yours were talking about this 29 OL running 101+ (and I'm sure it will run more when dialed in), and then you stated:
A 30' Phantom (the pleasure version) with 525 hp will run that fast, do some research. Fact not fiction. I would love to see a new 30' Phantom pleasure version race a 29' OL, both boats with an undoctored 525 Mercury motor; about a three or four mile drag race from a 50-60 mph start.
And quite frankly I'd be stunned if a pleasure 30 Phantom with equal power will come close to matching the top speed of this OL.

The post that Smarty was replying to implied the OL was running 100+ w/ the 525. I know I read it(and its gone now).
I didn't reply becuase too many are posting w/o knowing the facts.
BTW, the 29extreme ran 82-83 w/ a 496HO. So none of these speeds are THAT out of line.

No problem, the 29' OL is one very nice boat, and I am no expert, nor have I have ever ridden in either boat, but I would be proud to own either boat. Sorry if I offended you.

It is one nice looking boat (OL 29').
