Yup. The 29 is 28' without the bustle and 30'1" with it. Same goes for the 43 that is 43'5" OAL with a hull length of 40+'. The design and flat way the hull runs means the running surface is longer than a 42 Cig.:helmet:

GO OL:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer ::cheer:

Substitute bustle for big awkward a$$. Not a fan. Oh and OMG a 43 OL is really only a 40' hull bottom? Did you actually just admit that!?!? What's the world coming too.. some other manufacturers (OL) also use shorter hull bottoms.. :whistle::angry-smiley-038:

Not a fan of bustles myself, but even though it's about 40½-41' without it, it's still interesting the design gives it a running surface, that is longer than on a 42' cig. So yes, I admit that with no problem.

Outerlimits is an incredible boat, so are all the other top brands... It's clearly time for boating season

Bashing outerlimits can be summed up in one word: jealousy

That's the truth no matter how you look at it

All the brands have their own good qualities, whether still in business or otherwise... but, if you have $80-100k to spend, it's not even a question as to which boat (v bottom) will be the best for that money... and it's a fountain, hands down... speed, performance, handling, reliability, quality of build, ride, etc... If money isn't an object, then sure other brands beat fountains... but affordability for someone that makes a comfortable living, you can't argue... fan boys or not. You buy a 100k cig or OL and compare it to a 100k fountain, the fountain is better all day... driven all of them, just my 2 cents.

No doubt Fountain makes a nice boat, I like them, but the quality can at times be a bit sketchy. You can find some very nice OLs for that price. Look for stess cracks in the larger Fountains with 100+ hours on them, they are there. On the Fountians and OLs I've seen, the fit and finish is no the same. Look at Fountains and OLs in the 175-220 k range, there are OLs that are just as new and fast as the Fountains, size for size.

Outlaw, 37 Active Thunder, was originally an F-2 boat that got several doses of bigger power through the years. I think it ended up as P-2 boat with huge motors/SSMVI's. Very impressive as it held together incredibly well and still retained most of the cabin.
