27' or 30' rage (activator) but there only 7' beams so if your like me and need more room for the family and friends Look into active thunder. I ended up with a single 32 Sunsation and love it but there's not to many around and I never been on a 288 but i can say that Sunsation is a stand up company. And I know quite a few ppl with ATs and there just a great boat all around.. My opion

If were talking about best rough water, speed, and handling, then I would say lets look back at Factory one racing when every good single engine boat was racing with a matched engine package Merc 525 or hp 500 with 15 to 20 boats on average at every race.(Unlike now when your able to run any motor just dont break-out of a specific speed class.Activator dominated the class. It didnt matter which 27 Activator or who the driver or throttle man was.None of the boats mentioned won as many Races as Activator during the time period when there was actually a Factory one class with different manufacture's competing. When you look at the size of the cockpit The 30 Activator/Rage gives you much more room than the 27 with basically the same performance. The 28 Rage also has an 8 ft beam that gives even more room and a little more speed. All there boats are way over built and vacum bagged. They are not built as fly weight boats to put up a big speed number in flat calm water, there built to be used every day in any condition. But thats just My opinion with a little fact thrown in.

I got my first close up look in about and around a Sunsation last Friday and I liked it - until I found out all the beautiful allen head bolts I saw were not through bolted but they had screw ends on them.
Not what I thought I would see.

Lets go back into the OSO history books for a little:
This is the thread from 2002 after team Activator won the World Championships in F-1

This is a post by Bj after he sold the activator in 2003. This is one of his posts. Take notice to the part where he states the fact that they won the past 3 National Championships, coupled with the 2002 World Championships. And thats just the track record from one of the two Activator (now rage) boats that raced F-1. Heres his post:

He's not interested in racing. You and Mark keep kickin ass and win a third National title for Activator boats. It's alot easier gettin those checkered flags when you have the best boat out there is'nt it? Remember, no one can touch you in Big water, and stay in the boat. I remember this time last year you were getting the sh#t beat out of you in your Fountain. Hope the back holds up for you.
