I would have walked at the first sign of trouble. There is no way I would have left a boat for six months. If they cannot keep up with a work order, you sure as hell cannot trust them to do the work.
If they said it was ready and it wasn't, I would have hooked it up and left.
Sorry about your troubles, but sometimes we need to take charge and walk away.
