What are your legal obligations for request for boarding or random equipment inspections. These people are way beyond what any fair minded person would say is for public boating safety. I get pulled over multiple times a year for a general Q&A session and im tired of it. Do they need probable cause for vessel boarding and inspection?

There have been some azz hole moves in that neighbourhood.

Plus there is the $$$$$ people there that don't like go fast boats.

It's not as if all the complainers bought their cottages down there with their own money.
Most of them are livin the gold life at grandpas spread.

You can see it when you go on a poker run there.

The farther east you go the better the go fast boats are received.
In Brockville where real people live the crowds are 10 deep.

Not so in the Boldt Castle area.
I agree there was more interest in Brockville.

They don't need probable cause, but they can make it up of they need to.

I didn't get boarded. He said he was gonna come on, and I said "no your not" when he asked why I told him boat is paint and clear and asked him if he would like me to walk on the hood of his car or his white leather couch in his house with my boots on. He stayed off the boat, but gave me two tickets lol.

I use the same excuse for tying up to me, and usually it works. But this guy tied up anyway, and tied up wrong. His black rub rail got my white one covered in black marks, and his fender scuffed me lightly. He tied the front right and rear loose. I considered calling in a claim on them, but I go there often and don't need the crap.

Think it would only be a problem if you returned and were stopped a second time. The initial offence would show up in the computer. Don't think they can do a lot to track you down Stateside other than send a letter which would be polite of coarse. It's the Canadian way. LOL
