It was my first year going up for the Poker run weekend, and I had a really good time, met lots of great people. I usually go Labor Day and rarely see any sort of law enforcement, part of my reason for boating there instead of Arizona where I live. I hope you all keep going up, because it sucks that right when I try something new, it goes away.

I've been going up there for the Kingston Poker run for 13 straight years.... I stay in Alex Bay.... I have never been harassed about anything... everyone knows the Bay is 30 mph... there is no exemption on Poker Run weekend... The area is a boaters paradise.... every town you stop in on the river is boater friendly.... I would bet it will be the best vacation of your life! Bring lots of gas money!

I think you were gonna get the ticket as soon as you said you didn't have your registration since it "blew out of the boat last week"
. They then had to call in your numbers, etc and since they had gone that far, you were cooked. If you had everything in order, you might have gotten a warning like the other guy.
I wonder what would have happened if you never slowed down at all from the lighthouse and just kept going. Would you have even known to stop or that they were even behind you as they wouldn't have been able to catch up to you. You shouldn't be looking backwards if your going 60+ or so mph since that would be considered "unsafe"
