Nothin' like shooting one across the bow to get a rise out of people!! That was too easy!! I'm not familiar with the PowerPlay brand though. Not saying anything good or bad about them just never heard of them. I guess as long as you have something to compare them (Powerplay) against then great!! My point was so much trashing of Reggie that there is obviously a reason. That reason might be want, need , not have, not happy etc. I like mine....In fact I like them all!!! Nothin like a group of like minded people wanting to burn a tank a gas going as fast as they can to do it...Now that's an awesome thing no matter what your ride is!!

I dont see why it really matters. Some boats are longer some are smaller than a fountain. Some might be better some might be worse, some might be faster some might be slower. And when you compare you have to compare apples to apples, same relative year, same power etc. I have a fountain so I am probably bias, but would not be against owning something else at some point nor do I think my boat is the best.
But one thing is the brand is talked about quite a bit, so that means something. Whether the brand is over hyped could be I dont know, or is jealousy, who knows.

I was one of those that did not like Fountains or anything to do with them, then I took a ride in one on Lake Michigan in real 4 to 6 foot waves. I bought a 38 right after that and have since had 3 different 38's. First one was a 1996 small twin step that ran mid 80's with 500hps. The second was an 03 Lightning with semi-stagger 525's that ran mid to high 90's with big steps. The one I have now is an 08 with full-stagger 700's that runs 120 plus. Every one has been better than the last. I did spend a lot of time dialing them in with a lot of help from Brian Forehand, especially on the 700 boat.
There are a lot of great boats out there, but you will be hard pressed to beat the overall package of speed, handling, and comfort and safety.
