pardon me... it was 502 with a bravo outdrive.. not a jet.... As far as the "tempest" version of this boat goes I've only seen an i/o with a naturally aspirated engine - and the turbine version (helicopter engine)...

I agree I think a jet would be a dog on a boat this long...

100% agree that it was underpowered even if it was very light. But, I have a $10K fix for that Porsche V8 that would get it to 500-600hp reliably. Still wouldn't be a contender on a race course, but would be a lot more fun!

Yeah, the Tunnel my friend is doing should be loads of fun!!

Take a look at this one www.myporschekineo.com. I own one of the 3 original prototypes that were ever built back in the late 80'. In the past year its been restored. Its the only fully original prototype of the Porsche Kineo 27' Powerboat which is still around. Took it for its shake down cruise yesterday and I can guarantee you, its was awesome; 118 km/h at full speed in rough waters! [IMG]www.myporschekineo.com[/IMG]
