Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the height of a wave measured on the back side. So if you are out in 8-10's you would be facing a 16-20' wall of water. I live on Lake Ontario and when NOAA calls for 3-4' we think long and hard if it is worth going out to beat the crap out of our selves and boat.

Where are all the videos of the guys who run 80+ in 6-8's? Heres a 36 Apache going out in some big water on lake Michigan. I don't hear the rev limiters...maybe that's cause they are doing 29mph at 2700RPM lol. Ive been out in that $hit before, and you can keep it. I'd rather take some mild chop, run fast, not snap my hull, and sip some Grey Goose at the beach. This is water, that I don't care what your in, Cigarette, apache, Fountain, 80ft yacht, it sucks, and if you don't take it easy like this guy was, your gonna tear your $hit up or hurt someone trying to be a hero.

For sure. But Im sure we will hear how he shoulda had more tab, less trim, a ballast tank, bigger balls, etc etc. Or, that was 18ft seas, because if it were 8fters, he coulda been running 90+ in that since its an apache.. Its oso!

DAYUM, bro, you got a bravo III??? That's the one with dual blades right? Is yours set up with twins (one on each prop)? Or just a single. My buddy (with the fountain corvette edition) had a cousin with a bravo III on his stingray. Ran 2 motors inline for better balance.

The Bravo 3 is the way to go from what I am told! I heard its best when you run a 3 blade mirage plus in front, and a 6 blade herring in back. This way you get the planing from a 6 blade, but top end from a 3 blade when you trim it to the trailer position. (gets the 6 blade out of the water) Its all good on the u joints, because you just run amsoil bearing grease in them.
