Or Active Thunder vs DITKA.
"So who would win in a race, an Active Thunder or DITKA?"
"Good question. Would this be current DITKA or 1985 DITKA, and how rough is the water?"
"1985 DITKA and it's 18FT seas in a hurricane. DITKA is driving a 19FT bowrider and Jim McMahon is throttling".
"Ok, well then I'm gonna have to go with DITKA hands down. His superior driving skills along with the funky qb's throttle arm is no match for Active Thunder "

I have no dog in this fight but in my opinion the OL and AT are quite a bit different. The OL may be faster in flat water but very little will touch the AT when the water gets big! And for the Yo Yo that keeps bringing up Baja...you can't even compare a massed produced Baja sled to a custom built Active Thunder...

Griff, I made this move a year ago out of my 28' checkmate and this was my list of choices. We like to stay overnight on the boat and all of these were capable of that. This thread was an interesting one to follow, (hard at times), but I agreed with Brett M. a few pages back when he stated this comparison would have been better for the two 37's (AT vs. Stiletto). There were a few options and deals out there at the time that lead me to my purchase. We love it!
As mentioned, I liked both of them, but I like the lines of the 37' OL way better. I also liked that I got a center entry cabin with the OL although Pat would have built an AT that way if I wanted it that way. Can't really comment on performance and ride because Pat took me out in some rough ocean water vs. the OL's on smooth lakes. However, I can say the OL rides great and can't imagine the 37 AT being very different in like conditions. Power and setup between them was not comparable either as both OL's had big power. Can't go wrong with either IMO, but comparing the AT to the 36' OL just isn't possible.
Oh, and a side note, at times, I wish I had my Baja 302 Boss back......

How about the Outerlimits 37 ran 93MPH With 525's and a 1993 Hull design which still beats the one giant step, one trick pony that is the "modern"AT. How about updating that hull design to this decade? Then you can compare that boat to the Outerlimits Brand. Until then, It is still a closer comparison to a Baja.
LOL, just saying.
