The main difference, according to some, is that the one boat will never spin out on you and the other will spin out unloading it off the trailer.

Not sure about resale......that OL has been for sale for 5-6 months and the price has dropped 30K. That is the first OL 36 made and they still haven't sold it!
I like the boat, the speed is fantastic on 2 yr warranty 520's but 370K buys you a lot of options on the used boat market.

Here are a few spy pics of the latest 36. We are very proud of this new model for numerous reasons. It represents an improved production process, which is important for many reasons, it allows us to continue to produce an epoxy/e-glass/carbon/foam cored boat manufactured to elevated standards similar to aviation rather than to traditional polyester/plywood construction that has been the standard in the marine world. By being able to stream-line production via molded standardization and precision production processes, it allows for reduced man hours which increases quality and accuracy as well as lowers the cost to consumers.
We spend countless hours and dollars in the engineering department on FEA analysis to produce the most efficient lamination schedule and to also produce the most efficient hulls. The technology learned on the racecourse with the last two back to back championships with our 29 evolve directly into this product as well as our entire line of boats. I don’t think you will find many companies as technology driven as we are here. The most important feature on any new boat is the balance of weight, hull design, manufacturing ability and long term durability, this all comes together to produce a fast, safe pleasure boat to be enjoyed for decades.
As far as personal taste and opinion, I am certainly bias but I certainly appreciate the technology advancements that allow for digital thorottles, and all digital dashboards. You would certainly be disappointed if your new Corvette had auto meter gauges bolted to a dash rather than a full color monitor to look at.
The next thing we should all be appreciative of is dealerships such as Performance Boat Center who step up to the plate to order and stock new performance boats that can be bought at a moments notice by a consumer. It is the vision and resources they use that help to keep the momentum going in our very small industry.
Keep the spirited debate going! Its good conversation for a long winter!
The good news is Miami is right around the corner, so be sure to come by the booth to see the latest boats and come by the dock to see myself giving demo rides on the new 36!
