Kentz,
Sure that Scott-Atwater wasn't just a Scott? They dropped the Atwater part around 1960. My dad went from a '59 10 hp Scott-Atwater to a brand new 1960 25 hp Scott. I remember because after he got it home we were wondering what happed to the rest of the name

The first boat I ever spent any real time in was my dads 12ft aluminum with a 1955 Johnson 10hp (light green)Put TONS of hours on that boat. I was about 9 yrs old. There was a pack of about 4 or 5 of us kids all with similar boats bombing around the lakes "kicking ass" in those days . My boat was rated for a 7.5 so with a 10 it was "over rated".........also quite cool in the day.
MY first real boat was an 88 201 Four Winns Liberator with a 350 and a King Cobra. Never gave me an ounce of trouble sold it for $2500 more than I paid for it 2 years later. Really miss that big, built in, insulated cooler in the "glove box" position in the port dash. super handy. more manufactures could learn from that one............Doug

First boat was a old Louisiana Traveler 16' w/ 60 hp Evinrude
that I got when my dad passed away.
The first one I purchased was a 1989 Four Winns 190 Freedom.
I now own a 2001 28' Powerquest w/ 502
I also own a 16' Custom Craft all welded aluminum bateau with a 90 hp Yamaha
