I don't know what I like best.....that custom 2.5 inch exhaust or that quicksilver prop.....

Craney 03-22-2015 06:47 PM

We have a winner!!!!! I'm not sure if I like the Custom water dumps best or the gas tank next to the custom exhaust....

Craney 03-22-2015 06:52 PM

I missed the heat tape on the manifolds, everything should be good:D

Mercury_Challenger 03-22-2015 07:14 PM

They're not hard to find. You know the phrase "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt", well the internet is the best way for these idiots to be heard

I emailed this knuckle head this question

Me: Was a new motor/ outdrive/ steering/ gauges put in?

Him: The motor is original. Carburetor, outdrive and some gauges are new.

PT Barnum was right. There is a sucker born every minute. I bet the guys at the shop that did the work were laughing all the way to the bank?

79formula 03-23-2015 02:40 PM

That hatch isnt the worst thing I have ever seen. The price is a typo. One extra 0 for sure.

The Shot Up Hull Is $500

turbofox54 03-26-2015 10:54 AM

Is that a fountain? If it is it could be an ex seal/spec war boat. They usually put some holes in them before the send them to auction.

Definitely some decent stuff there.

Mercury_Challenger 03-26-2015 08:25 PM

yeah....depends on who does the decom on those old Fountain hulls. I have seen rifle fire, fork lifts thru the hulls, and even holes cut thru the bottom. There is a guy in Tidewater who use to service those, had a huge shop. One section of it was private and locked, just for those boats.

Mercury_Challenger 03-26-2015 08:34 PM

Here is a good one.....I always wondered what swim platforms were good for...lol! Pay special attention to what is hanging off of it, thats custom!

Magnum copy with outboards...
Yes, it's an Aero (Klym Gem), but I still yearn to paint the number 444 on it and pilot it over cruiser wakes to get some Doc Magoon-esque airborne photos.

He is is Denver NC and buys a lot of boats from the coast guard. He had several navy seal powerboats at one time. Always a good time to go see the different stuff he has on the lot.

You are definitely right, 30' early 90's Mariah. They were nice boats before this guy got a hold of it. It also just so happens that the Mariah logo is almost the same shape as Ferrari.

VW pickup crew cab?

Started life as a Rabbit diesel, then stretched and a VW pickup. For you towing fanatics, it has the 1.6 diesel! :D

I had one of those VW caddy trucks, 1982 1.6L 52 horsepower, and let me tell you it was a TORQUE MONSTER. I put a cinder block in the back once and it hauled it NO PROBLEM. It was a fun little vehicle with a top speed of about 75.

52 HP diesel.......yeah that will be ideal for towing a single jet ski trailer (empty)!

Wildman_grafix 04-02-2015 08:49 AM

My buddy had one of the hatch backs. Great for mileage I think around 55 or so. We went down and picked up a old oil cooled GSX 750 motor with it and it slowed it waaaaaay down on the drive back! Lol

1989mach1 04-02-2015 09:08 AM

I would think it would go something like this with that vw....
