Agreed but it doesn't appear the others have & like another member wrote, you should only be able to spend it on a boat & boat related items not invest it double your $$ & buy a house & a boat. All good strategies but not the intention of Jupiter's post as I interpreted it.
Agreed.
I took it as a tester to were the current market is for a new boat purchase if you were one to be in that position.

Ok, fine... I get it... Can't have 2 boats....
I'm buying this-
http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/4579462304.html
Add a pair of 300XS motors and maintenance/fuel, and I'll still have $350k for booze and trashed hotel rooms. I'll leave the boat to JS in my will, because with $350k, liver failure would likely occur by year 3.

Sell the 1075's, install fresh 1350's, buy a new to me used F-650 Hauler and slightly modify the paint scheme.
Should leave me with 100-150K to play.

That Maximus is cool. I'd offer some less than asking for Pure Platinum because its so well established and bad. Guess the rest would have to be used to cover insurance and fuel for about a year. Then Id be broke again just Like all the other " Lottery Winners" that waste money on crap and end up with nothing. Boating while fun is a pretty good way to waste money fast.
Lol, although recoup some when I sold the boat.

I guess im in the minority, I would buy a 35 Fountain or a 37 Active Thunder with 600 or 700's in it.
I can store it for free, have access to a truck that will pull it and would use the rest of the money for gas and upkeep, and diesel fuel for the truck.
I sure as heck arent buying a fishing boat, a damn troop lander, a canoe, etc etc.
I would contemplate a similar sized cat, but im not sure how they would ride vs the V and I seem to be more of a stand up vs sit down guy anyway.

Yes......this was an experiment and not one poster picked a "new go fast boat" even with 500K to spend!
So if no one bought a go fast with free money, what chance do they have to sell one to a guy with real money or a guy that puts 100K down and has a $4300 payment for 10 years plus insurance/storage/maintenance. Safe to say the new go fast market is dead in the water.......

Is it getting harder than it use to be? I do think so with a lot of the new boats being built and how some people are spending their money.
