If I were going to go on a tirade about how the guy sucks at his job I'd probably use punctuation, among other grammatical tools.

Just sayin...

Yea, I don't care about all that, especially to that guy, my job isn't to worry about spelling and punctuation.... I am not a typing genius, but I can build engines....most guys pay azzwipes like that guy to do it, but can type....

Perfect example of why you need to research who can and cannot build a decent marine engine , before you start writing checks.

I've never understood why so many oso members over the years have had misfits build engines for them. I can easily think of a dozen well known successful marine engine builders east of the Mississippi that are more than qualified for the job. All of who have built great engines for other oso members. The only reason I can see why a guy would stray from going to a well known builder , is to simply save a few bucks because the joe schmo engine builder says he can build it for a better price . Well, you get what you pay for.

If i didn't do my own engine work (mainly cuz I like fiddling), you bet my engines would be at eddie young, mark rinda, HaxbySpeed, Ben at precision , Brian orlandi, etc...

I felt the same way when I bought my boat with OSO's legendary engine builder... I even tried another well know marine guy... Nope ended up pulling my engines out of that shop.

Joe Irwin from Fast Forward Race Engines is the only machinist that will ever touch my engines period.

I read so many bad story's, I am so glad I do my own and don't need to worry about these disasters, I inherited these, I am not gonna cry over it but just make them right! If I would have spent what my buddy did and have this result there would be some very big issues cost him over 25,000 for these.

I love the posts on here that pretty much dog anyone well known for being overly expensive, then we see crap like this. FF engines may have lived for years in a muscle car, or on the drag strip. Just can't gamble on a boat engine, it will show your lack of workmanship pretty quick

hi, you built engines for a buddy of mine Dave McGinty, I bought the boat after he sold it figuring I would get sweet engines that he spent lots of money on, I know all he issues he had with them as I helped him pull them all the time, I figured he had a couple hours on them but he never ran them hard enough to hurt them, I b ought boat oil temps were crazy hot (275) just cruising since you put 11lb bypasses in, (bad on boat) I would think you would know that...and cold oil pressure of 55, bad for BBC, I fixed all that ran engines for a few hours, last week I tossed a rod through my oil pan, I cannot believe what I saw when tearing it down, not even done yet and I am floored at what I see, wrong bearings with no chamfer, you took a die grinder and carbide bit and made your own, looks like rod bolts were most likely not stretched and I doubt you even resized rods for proper clearances, I will check just so I can laugh, the blow by was so bad at a whopping 8-10 hours I would use 1 qt oil every weekend boating! pistons slid right out of the bores by hand with no resistance, I know you would most likely not reply to this as you have zero accountability of any kind of engine builder, you should not build as simple as a fukking go cart engine, I feel so bad for my buddy Dave that you charged him more then 1000.00 to build absolute garbage for him, luckily I am my own engine builder as I don't trust people like you, I will be making these engines right myself and they will run better then ever! hell you even said on paperwork (that I have) 565CI, but really they are 547's, you would think a builder would know that..... lol

you should retire as you obviously cannot build engines, I always wanted to contact you when Dave had his issues, you are a very lucky person you didn't build these for me, you would have much bigger issues to worry about, hope you learn how to build engines one day!!!! I am attaching a couple pics of what I found, all I can say is WOW
Come on now........can't just jab it in there. We should have took the slow knife approach, and baited him into explaining his mess.

Be careful if he responds heated, cyber threats are taken more seriously than verbal today.
