Long rumor that Miami , Merc will upgrade the 300 to 325 or 350 with warranties but it's just a rumor.

There are good rumors & bad rumors, I consider this to be a good rumor, now do you best to make it come to fruition Bill!

Just cleaned up inbox. One ran at LOTO last year at 85. A 34 sunsation ran this year at 82. Both with trip 350s. But you are right. Quite a bit more $.

I'm coming out of 100mph + cat so transitioning to a 60mph + CC will be an adjustment but I welcome it as I do the opportunity to enjoy boating. I too get caught up in the facts & figures of Twin 350's vs. Triple 300's, the cost, weight & potential top speeds etc but a fellow boater recently challenged me. He asked if I'd ever been on a CC at 70mph before. My answer was NO to which he stated it's not all that fun especially for those that don't have the protection of a windscreen. IMO he brought up a good point not to mention rethinking the amount of time I'll actually spend at WOT.

It certainly gave me some food for thought!

I to did the same thing, came from a 160 mph cat and went to a CC. Best move I made in boating. You will have no problems with the transition if you use it more places then a lake. They are the best all around boat I've been in. I have a 34 Nor Tech with trip 300s, love the boat. Nor builds a hell of a boat. Loaded or not the boat will run 70 to 74. The 350s will never get it to 85 like mentioned above. And until merc un veils this new 325-350 I would do the 300s all day long.

Great input, thanks Bling, Bling!

Just out of curiosity, what other CC's did you consider before you decided on a NT 340?

A pic wouldn't hurt either!

I looked at Statement and Sunsation. Both seem to be good boats but I quickly was drawn to the fit and finish of the Nortech. Cabin space was not an issue or the Sunsation might have won. I liked the seating much better on the Nortech. Wind seemed like less of an issue at the helm. It seems like there are more reviews and interest around the Nortechs. Hopefully result in better resale. Just a few random thoughts.

Nor-Tech also did a great job at the transom for accessing the boat from the dock or the water. Nice flat landing pads on both sides at the stern and you can easily walk from side to side in front of the motors.

Yes you can put quads on a 34 and it has been done. I believe Sportboats in Fort Myers had or has a used 34 gt with quads for sale.

I saw a nortech cc in Nantucket MA with twin 557's wonder what that will run?
