Correct w/ both sticks in Fwd or both in Rev the port throttle will control the port and center engine and the starboard throttle the starboard and center engine. I believe the setup is all configured thru the Smart Craft. Only scenario I can think of that would be a handicap based on how it's setup would be if I lost an outer engine I could no longer split the sticks (fwd/rev) to spin or maneuver when docking.

I basically ran all the scenarios on my last triple outboard boat by running and killing each engine to understand how the digital controls work.

And that won't be a handicap anymore with the thruster.

Very good point I totally forgot about that. As mentioned all scenario us based on previous boat.

Does the Bow Thruster run off its own battery or the engine batteries? Do you happen to know?

Previous boat had 6 batteries total, 3 eng batteries + 1 house and 2 for 12v A/C.

I've never shut batteries off with the thruster turned on to know for sure, but I'm betting it runs off the house battery. Thruster has two buttons you have to push simultaneously to put power to it. One button to cut the power to it. It turns the power to it off automatically once you get on plane, my guess is that happens at a certain RPM but I've never watched the power light when getting on plane to see exactly when it goes off.

For those that underestimate the value of a thruster with a long nose.

Nascat ever thought about another cupholder and speaker on each side in the front seating area?

Not sure about Nortech but most manufactures like Intrepid install a thruster battery. If you run it off the house they draw a lot of current and can cause the electronics to shut off prematurely.

I don't have a separate battery for the thruster. I have one for each engine and the house battery. Next time down I'll check which battery it is hooked to. Still betting it is the house.

Nascat, I took a ride to Martha's Vinyard yesterday for lunch and your previous 340 was tied up in the harbor. What an absolute beautiful boat. Looks like the new owners are taking good care of her. Looking forward to seeing the new one.

I actually opted for the joystick assuming it would be easier to operate. I'm sure Terry could tell me exactly how they wire everything up, I just hadn't asked him yet.

Good to hear. My understanding is he also has a home in FL so it may end up there come fall / winter.

Thanks for sharing.
