Not nearly enough...if that was your Dad and Grandmother that got killed. This wasn't an "accident" it was pure lack of respect for society. Third or fourth DUI episode for this tool. Rant off.

Its a 15 year sentence... Eligible for parole in 5. Big difference!
You're headline is misleading or you never read the story.
Either way it's sucks to be him or the poor souls that passed.
Don't drink & drive or it will happen to you sooner or later.

You are thinking federal time. With prison overcrowding and if he is a good boy he will be in a halfway house in 3-4 years, that's how it works.

Well... That does suck. I know people that got more time than that & they never killed anyone, but you're right now that I think about it it was Feds... DEA

....carry on

This is what pisses me off about Bad Drunks giving us Good Drunks a bad name.

And his buddies in the boat who allowed him to drive while that drunk and knowing he had past problems with alchol should have got a little time for not stopping him from driving or at least drive in a slow controlled manner.

The way they hang you and screw your life up on a 1st offense barely blowing over the limit is overboard I think.

1st offense for blowing over .o8 but under a ..12 with out property damage or human harm should be a ticket and a 90 day work permit.not 10 thousand dollars and another 2000 in AA classes with a year suspension.

Now if you are a point 20 and you get caught than you have a problem with acting responsible.

And if you get caught a second time they should hang your azz out to dry because you didn't learn your lesson the 1st time.

Habitual Alcohol abusers, I am talking the ones that get totally chitty all the time and get behind the wheel should be banned from being served like they do in Georgia . If you have a offense there they will not serve you in a bar.

Never had a DUI but know many people that have a few and I know they don't belong with a licence because even today they will still get wasted and drive.

How does the bar tender in Georgia have a clue as to who has priors?

There is no such thing as parole in the federal system.

Let's hope that because this guy is a repeat DUI offender and finally killed 2 people, the law keeps him incarcerated for as long as possible. We shall see.
Rest assure that the victims family members will be at those future parole hearings giving statements how this repeat DUI offender affected their lives with his callous disregard for the law, culminating with him taking the lives of their loved ones.
