Those numbers don't add up to 302 cubes. A lot of people don't know that GM made a 302.

a real DZ 302 with the stock parts is worth coin. even since the recession crashed the hot rod stuff. But anything like that will still bring coin. I got $ 1500 for a stock 2019 Z 28 distrib a while back ;)

True, never installed in a production vehicle, but GM was/is selling them over the counter - HT383, for instance. So I guess technically they are building it. Same class as the 502.

It's worth a lot more coin if you are lucky enough to find / get found by the owner of the car that it matches, and he has deep pockets and wants to spend the money on a first class restoration.

All of the stories about stock 302's revving to 8K makes me realize why so many of these cars no longer have their original engines. ;) I have always said if these engines had auto trannies behind them they might have had a better chance at survival. One missed powershift with your foot on the mat often resulted in a nice ventillation window in the oil pan.

Most 302's went road racing. That's why the 302 was built. Conform to SCCA Trans AM racing rules.

The others, well, performance on the street was not so good.

Was cool to have and talk about, but nothing you could do (in a straight line on the street) against a mod'd big block car from any of the big three.

Does nothing for me. They were making 3hp per C.I. 10 years ago with a standard small block. Actually it was over 3per C.i.
