This is only my experience, yours will be different.
Thanks, that's pretty much what I've heard out of the 496s. I think at this point I'm looking for twin step 32-35 with 496 HOs. Still looking at Sunnys and Fountains. Anyone have any experience with Donzi? I haven't been looking directly but came across one last night that looked really nice. What do they run speed wise compared to Fountain and Sunsation? They seem to be at the upper limit of my budget so are they worth the extra money?

if you want a turn key boat ,,,you really cant go wrong with 496HOs or 502s,,as long as you leave them stock,,,

if you choose to go with 525s they are just as reliable except you will need to do top ends every 250 hours and complete refresh at around 500 hours,,and if something breaks you will have to pay more to repair...

but ALL are reliable,,,

The Donzi is a great boat but it will be the slow one of the group. Bigger cabin, a lot more "in the boat feel", and nice fit/finish but will Def be behind the Sunny and Fountain when you push the throttle forward.

Depends on the model of Donzi.
A 33zx is a wide high freeboard boat and maybe a bit slower then the others listed.
A 35zr would be right there and most had 496's.

And yes Donzi counts the swim also. I like them sounds like you don't need a cabin so look at the 35zr pretty cool boats.

35ZRs are awesome looking boats, some great lines on them.

I will take you out on my powerplay if you want to see what they are about... Can go out on Lake Erie

You are correct. I was thinking that might be past budget though but I could be wrong for sure. The ZR is a badass boat.

Yeah so far they're a little out of reach price wise but only have been looking for a day. For sure keeping these in mind as I continue my search, all the ones I've found so far a pretty freaking sweet. Never know what I might come across in a few weeks.

I can weigh in a little on the 35 Donzi. Fit and finish will be rite up there with any of the other two you mentioned. Will be easier to work on than the Sunny as the engine room is a little bit roomier I can't tell you how the ride will compare to a 35 Fountain as I have not spent enough time in one to say but if you plan on over nighting much go with the ZX. The V birth in the Zr feels more like a pizza over than a bed. If over night stays are not an issue, the ZR might work for you.

it's a good size range, and really not like you could go wrong with any. Just look and ride in as many as possible.

If I had an issue with your comments I'd let you know. Don't get too hot on your keyboard. The OP is researching which is awesome. However, there are threads upon threads of bashing and wave crushing talk. Read my original post. I wasn't directing anything towards anyone here.
