Like I sad to each their own. Been on lake erie in both boats in waters that I do not care to do again and the sunsation took that kind of water much better. I was in the 35 fountain during a run and that thing had more airtime then a pilot for delta does as the 30 ft susation passed us like we were sitting still and that was a 496 sunsation to 500 fountain.

Prob not far different than your 32 fountain with added beak. Ypu are essential arguing dick length with the guy for no reason.
Of course the 35 fountain prob has a little extra running surface than a 32 sunny (35 is a larger # than 32).
The OP however listed those two choices. Both are great boats so not seeing what your getting puffy about.

If the fountain rode better I would have drove 20 min from my house for a 35 with 500s in it instead of the Ozarks for the sunsation. As for you ? on length I have never really measured the length but there is not much of a overhang on the swim deck as you think maybe a foot. I know tied next ot a 35 fastech its not that far off.

This is all first hand exp, that's what sold me the sunsation because at that time I did not even own a boat

Had an 07 32 SS for 3 years. Power was the 496 HO package. I had many of the same concerns around maintenance as well as a significant difference in insurance cost with 525's. 496's will run longer, with proper maintenance, without needing major overhauls. I was fine running 82-83 top speed. Most of your time is spend cruising anyway. If I lived anywhere near water now I would buy the Sunsation again in a heart beat.
