I was raised Church of England but must confess to not been a very religious person nowadays. I do still respect all peaceful religions and those who choose to practice and follow them.

I live in Thailand which is about 95% Buddhist and the teachings of Buddha concentrate a lot of belief on kindness of spirit, help and positive attitude. My girlfriend attends temples here regularly and occasionally I accompany her. When it comes time to pray, I stumble through with a few nice thoughts and some wishes for those close to me who are suffering.

I showed my girlfriend your post a few days ago and we visited a temple that afternoon. She bought 3 trays of eggs (among other goodies) as merit to the monks and we went through the normal service ritual. At the time, I had two significant sales going through, one a small business I was selling and the other was a condo. The condo settled today and the business should settle next month. I said to her, I really hope all goes well with the business sale and she said "It will, I prayed for it."

Not sure why but it reminded me of the 3 trays of eggs and I asked her to explain what that was all about and she told me they go with her prayers to sell the condo and sell the business. I asked her why there were 3 trays and she was a little embarrassed but said "The third one was for your friend in America."

I damn near cried when she said that.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Chris.

I am doing good so far. Just keeping myself busy from morning to night so that's good. My doctor said that I can continue with wrestling and offshore boat racing so I would like to return to racing if possible and perhaps to race to help fight against kidney disease?? some kind of cause that we can support people with kidney disease??? As long as I don't overdo myself and keep myself hydrated.

Thanks!
Chris
