I could be off, someone can correct my math.
I do like reading your posts that don't show '000's or 'k'. It gives me hope that I may one day order a new 47 Fountain!

I think if more boats were sitting at dealers You would have more sales. But at this time it's almost like Specking a $500,000 house in at $200,000 neighborhood And nobody wants to take that chance
Case in point, talk about buying a $700K house in a $200K neighborhood. Look at these two boats, and then look at the thread I linked. This guy has the same boat as the skater listed for sale, but a couple years older and is down to asking under $300K...

I was seriously considering trading my boat for larger one 2 years ago at the NYC Boat Show. I had the deal drawn up and everything. But then my common sense set it and I couldn't justify the crazy cost of the new boat considering my boat is paid for. The outrageous cost of the new I/O boats makes it tough to swallow. And pontoons are taking over the lakes. People are buying them like crazy. They will never be my style and it drives me crazy that every dealer I see is pushing them rather than I/O boats. Boy how the market is changing.

I will agree with what was said earlier, SEI has the luxury of copying others designs whereas Merc is having to spend the R&D dollars to develop....

SEI started producing as soon as the Patents ran out. Thus had to wait to reproduce a Bravo lower. Still have to wait to enter Bravo upper market.

I don t think SEI will be entering into the Bravo UPPER market anytime soon. They know the deal and warranty with 600 hp and above that buyers are going to be using it for.

I'm still in shock about the price on a wakeboard boat. Wow.

The other half said she'd like to maybe have one for the extra room and open layout they offer. I did some quick browsing and almost fell out of my chair looking at what they cost.
