Don99: since you asked my Formula currently goes 60 mph with average set up (couple people, and average fuel). I beleive and I can not remember for sure, PhantomCaos's boat (383 with 500efi's and boxes) same set up as this guys boat runs in the high 70's. Believe me when I tell you the guy was trying. He is the one that came along side and asked for the race.

That being said I am glad to see that you guys have succeeded in KILLING this thread. I am sure you are all proud of yourselves I am out.

Wayne-you sound like a guy who has a friend that has a progression, maybe even an older brother-to get so passionate over what you think is real makes me think that--have you ever been in an activator-if not don't talk out your back-side--I have run with a 22' progression in L.I. sound every weekend for 5 years--I live 2 miles from NY--maybe you can borrow your brothers boat so we can see that 87mph--I'll bring my hand held gps

Seems to me, this thread (started by KN), was to get informed opinions, comments, & critiques regarding the 24' SUPERBOAT vs 24' PANTERA ?!? Personally, I've never met a SUPERBOAT or a PANTERA that I didn't like. BOTH companies make a great boat & have been around a long time... BOTH companies have a strong & loyal following (obviously!)... BOTH companies have an enviable offshore racing history. What's NOT to like about either company? It still comes down to KN making his own decision based partly on your opinions & other info, but it will still be KN's decision ONLY & his reasons ALONE. I think all those other boat names that popped up are fine boats, but the question was SUPERBOAT vs PANTERA, NOT the pissing contest this topic seems to have turned into. If you want, I'll start a NEW thread...WHY (your favorite boat name here) is so much better/faster/made/etc. than that POS (other boat name that you hate here). Actually, I said that as a joke but, it might just be a winning thread! KN, good luck with your decision, you can't lose either way!!!

I have never rid in any other 24 foot boat. But my 24 pantera is solid as a rock, I dont think you can break it, given that, i do love to go fast so i would like to have my motor in a lighter boat but when it comes to ocean running and wave launching a solid boat sounds better to me.
We should test each boat with a sledge hammer against the transom
