Tommy,
I'm not going to argue with you. Nor am I trying to piss you off. The last thing you want to say to people at an event like this is, "DNR will be out waiting for you because they are low on funds and they will be out giving tickets to 100 MPH performance/loud boats."

People may not come or get scared away

Mike.

We have run all over Ohio in these gatherings. Everything from (2) 32' Skater's (900sc's), 30' Spectre i/o with no mufflers. Have run at Alum 6 times this year alone and have had no trouble. Don't let these post scare anyone off.
If the weather is nice we are bringing a 16' tunnel race boat. Come check it out!

If it offers any piece of mind to anyone I dropped a hint to my police relative that patrols the lake w/DNR that this event will not be taking place until november

I heard that you can not use the Galena ramp because of the low water and busted concrete at the bottom of the ramp. Three or four years ago, DNR was at the Galena ramp harassing people launching in hot boats.

You can most likely beat the noise ticket on a technicality, because the test they run is based on SAE J2005, which is almost impossible to follow to the letter.

Here's a link to Columbus weather info.

By saying there is a way around it, I ruined the fun. I also heard people telling DNR that it is the first saturday in november.

I used the Galena ramp this past Saturday. There was a fishing tournament going on there too. One ramp was closed, had pylons acrossed it because of the busted up concrete. I used the other ramp without a problem. When I came up out of the water someone moved the pylons and people were using both ramps. I have used the side with the busted up concrete coming out with a 27' without a problem. Little bumpy, but you can do it.

I AGREE WITH YOU. I HAVE NEVER BEEN HARASSED OR HAVE I SEEN OTHER BOATERS HARASSED AT ALUM CREEK FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! COME ON COME ALL! THE WEATHER WILL BE A LITTLE COOL, BUT IT WILL NOT RAIN OR SNOW!!!! LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!
