Just my opinion but for my money I have to actually see it up close and personal no matter what the best survey guy says. Once it is in your driveway you have no recourse should something not be what you expected. Airfare and car rentals are just too cheap nowadays not to see it for yourself. Good luck. It does look really nice.

I would say you should have survey done and a mechanical inspection for sure if you are not going to see it in person.
If you are going to see it in person then I'd still get mechanical inspection and possibly a survey dependent on your knowledge about boats.
I'm sure it full hyd steering. Never seen a twin set up with add on.

Depending on whether you are trailering it back yourself or shipping it, I'd have a reputable surveyor check it out. If all goes well, you head out there and make the deal. If shipping it, I might go out first and take a look, have it surveyed while I'm there. Either way, if you're purchasing the boat, have it surveyed before finalizing the deal.
Bring some spares too for that trailer. I've had "new" tires on a trailer, less than a year old, that blew less than 2 hrs into trip.
Good luck!

Both structural and engine survey as well as a water test if you're not going to see it yourself. A good structural surveyor will send you pictures, both good and bad. Explain to the surveyor you want to know about any issues not shown in the pictures. Pictures ALWAYS portray condition better that it is in the flesh.
The price doesn't seem way off base to me, especially considering used V bottoms have been climbing in value. I've also found prices to be higher on enthusiast forums and in areas where boating is popular.

Yes, talked to them about this boat first. No SST package, no cockpit carpet, trailer is rough and needs 6 new tires, no mooring cover, assist steering instead of full hydraulic, bennet tabs instead of k-planes, no gps, no swim ladder, actual boat hrs are with-in 40 hrs, Price with 6 new tires and swim ladder installed on the 2005 with less options is $ 3500 more.
