Real problem seems to be the boats getting built faster than Merc can deliver power...

Big Thunder ordered some 400s for me Feb 10. We were told 13 weeks, suppose to arrive May 13. Delayed a few weeks ago, and was told May 29. Will check later this week to see if there is another delay, hopefully not. But appears about 15 weeks.

for those of us who have not started our build....at what point do they place the order for the motors? Assuming a 6-10+/- month build, why don't they order motors ASAP in anticipation of the delay for delivery? I can understand storage space but, at least the motors are waiting to be rigged and not vice-versa?

Default Motors

my boat started end of October and the 350s were also 10/17. My understanding is that nor tech is the largest purchaser of 350/400 motors from mercury nor tech has some very very close ties at the top

My boat would be ready next week if we had the engines, 4 months, not 8.
