for those of us who have not started our build....at what point do they place the order for the motors? Assuming a 6-10+/- month build, why don't they order motors ASAP in anticipation of the delay for delivery? I can understand storage space but, at least the motors are waiting to be rigged and not vice-versa?
Remember this still is the boat business........any guesses how long a storage room full of new in the box Merc 400s would last before someone steals them?
My brother in law had 60+ props stolen from a yacht factory.....some new, some used and they probably ended up in a scrap yard for pennies on the dollar of what they were worth. A few missing sets of new in the box 400s would be a hard hit to take for a boat builder. Even at a cost of 25K per motor if you lose 6 motors that is 150K gone.

trust me the boat is worth the wait!!!! Went to Annapolis blue angels show. Fantastic. All the boats leaving was like a mild hurricane. Lol. Went right thru it cruised a long. Anyway. 6 or 8 months like I said it’s worth the wait.
