Thanks again, really helpful feedback. MentalPause - that rear seat is awesome, thanks for adding those pics.
Big decision so want to get it right for sure. We have 3 young kids (6, 4, 3) and they love the boat, love sitting at the helm or up front when its calm out. My only real concern with the 340 is if it gets really windy or a down pour and you have a bit of a trip home. I was thinking of building a seat like the Pursuit 328 cabin (below) even just for sitting around not moving if the kids want to go down and watch a show or take a nap. This looks like it could even be used under way though I imagine no one really goes into the cabin while the boat is moving? Thinking purely to get out of the weather and at 20-30mph might not be that bad for the kids...but haven't been on a 340 so not sure if that makes sense.
Trying to post a pic...but I don't have 10 posts yet. Its a pic of the Pursuit 328 cabin, looks pretty nice.

Weather /rain in my opinion is always a problem
when it rains. I have been out more times than
I wanted to be in rain. Fewer people more people dry
more people on the boat the more wet people. Lol.
that's a center console !!!

I ended up going with the 39 because I wanted the extra room on board, the bow is larger, although sun lounge seat is identical on both 34 and 39. Also plenty more room aft. I dont think the 34 with two rows is worth as you'll have absolutely no room between the rear seating and the cooler. In terms of handling the 34 definitely rides more like a 911 GT3 in my opinion, very nimble and responsive and you are much more a "driver" in the 34 vs the 39. I also fish in the gulf so the 39 has handled the occasional, unforeseen, 5-6 footers which is not fun in any boat. The price points for 34 is also really nice especially a used 2018 with trip 350's as there are many out there. I purchased from Bob @ soflo boats and he often has many more boats "available" than the internet has you believe is out there. You can email him at [email protected], great to work with and will hustle looking for your boat, new or used.

Also, the cabin is definitely lacking in this category of CC's however, for kids its perfect to turn on the AC and have them take a nap.
I tow my 39 with trips with a 2020 Ram 2500 on an Evolution triple axle trailer. Never had an issue.

What about twins v trips on the 34? I know speed but we mostly will be lake time and would rather have more room on the transom to swim off of.
Will the twins be that much slower? Im about done with speed anyway lol

Depends a lot on where you boat. If you are offshore trips makes more sense. We are on LOTO. We have a marina within a few miles no matter where you are at, so it's not an issue if you lose an engine and have to get somewhere on the one remaining. I'm running twin 400s. Boat runs great. There is a thread in the NT section that describes our repower from 300s to 400s that gets into more detail.
