ive always been told, and frankly see the point that a triple 34 will always provide more resale. a Trip 350 340 Nortech seems to be the best bang for your buck. triple 400's is powerful
This past weekend we saw the 34 with quad 300 V8 Mercs and I personally think it was to stern heavy. Whole boat was out of the water (perhaps driver induced) however, I think the triple 350 is perfect. Twins is tough resale and while will get you on plane and up to speed it is not ideal for a Nortech. The price point for a used 340 with trip 350s is great. Thats what I would put my money on.

Out of 4 personal 34 s, my favorite is the quad 300 v8, it's super quick and responsive, perfect attitude and stable, acceleration is amazing, you are gone before the next guy gets on plane,if your budget allowed, this is the "new" way. Having the exact boat build as we speak, put 90 hrs on it in 4 months, the new owner added,120 hrs, needless to say, we love this st up.
as for used 34 s, all engine options are good, pick the one you can afford ,in the cleanest, best maintained shape,350-400s all good.

My wife and I bought the 2020 340 Nor-Tech with quad 300 V8s in May and absolutely love the boat! It has amazing acceleration and handling and rips out of the hole. No signs of being stern heavy- if anything I had the boat overtrimmed when I passed you GatorMD! When you fire up 4 (!) V8 engines with the sport exhaust open and it roars to life that makes it for me--I wanted to be on the new V8 platform.
The truth is you can't go wrong with any of the Nor-Techs they have the best design/build quality and performance in the industry and have great customer service to back it up. For us we wanted something that ticked off the sport boat factor and can haul the family. We also have three kids 3,4 and 6 and it fits the bill perfectly. We have had up 3 families (15 people-mostly kids) and still had plenty of space yet it fits in easier at tight docks and slips that 5 more feet would be that much tougher to get in or not fit in at all. I love the 390 as well-especially with the 2nd row seat option-- but for us we have plenty of space and I prefer the look and overall muscle/sport boat feel of the quad 340!

hahaha you got me there man, you guys were running that thing hard! I thought It was more of weight distribution on the smaller 34. But, there you have it. As you can see we all have our opinions on the "best" package! With regards to the OP, the used 34 market with triple 350s is strong and plenty fast. I would ask if the new 34 with quad V8 300 but is cheaper than 34 with 400R?
TT- hopefully my motors are all running for Key west!! see you there man!

Getting a home in Cape Coral and have a 34 Nortech which I posted on here. Was wondering
if there are groups of Nortech owners in the area. Where does the Florida keys trip start from. We will be new to boating in the Florida area. Always did our boating on the chesepeske bay. Thanks for any info
