Mine broke at the Ticfaw run. The other side was about to break also. Broke where it transitions from straight rails to the tongue. Fortunately there was a local guy that knew what he was doing to fix it. Sandwiched the joints with 1/2" plate and seal welded it. Myco said my hitch was too rigid so I bought a torsion hitch like Nascats.
Browards pick cross beams are n the bottom of the side channel,

I have said it before and will say it again. MYCO isn't what it use to be. It has changed several hands after mid 2000's. The early to mid 2000's trailers and before that were top notch craftsmanship trailers. Our MYCO has been great and still shows and performs perfect but it's a 2002. By far the best custom trailer in today's age is Broward trailers followed with others like Manning, Amertrial but Broward is definitely in top of the trailer chain.

My Myco aluminum trailer that carries my 3900 NT has been weld repaired 3 times. Exact same break two years ago as the OP. Support brackets have completely broken off. Now my mechanic noticed a weld at the tongue starting to crack...

This cracking is the primary downside of aluminum. Unlike steel, aluminum has no stress below which infinite fatigue life occurs. Whenever an aluminum member is loaded, its lifetime ticks away by some amount. Engineering and craftsmanship together can come to a design that meets a life target under anticipated loading conditions, but make no mistake, every structural member made of aluminum will fail one day.
But, used in salt repeatedly, a steel trailer will rot out from under your boat from corrosion. There is no perfect choice.

Not going to lie, there are definitely some concerning pictures posted on here for sure. We have 5 Mycos currently (2007, 2010, 2012, 2016, and 2018) with I would guess 40,000+ miles between them and have not seen any of these issues. These pictures on here will definitely have me keeping a close eye on the welds. Especially on our cruiser trailer, as the gross weight of boat and trailer is around 20,000 lbs and we trailer it all over the place.
I do like some of the reinforcing that Broward is doing to prevent these issues.
