I just noticed that not all MYCO's are built like the OP's

This frame-style trailer has no "v" in the center that is welded, thus eliminating that issue

Cat trailers don't have Vs since the bunks are mounted high up and clearance for the hull that a V-hull needs isn't necessary.

ouch plumbers crack. I had some crack in the middle of the channel where the cross beam attaches,it push's in the middle,flexing, they offered to fix it free, ad gussets etc, long way and cost make 2 trips. I had a buddy weld them and added 2 diff gussets on them.Just added brace and foot spot to winch stand,im still pretty happy with my trailer, but I dont trailer much.prob spend to much time polishing than using it.

Mine broke at the Ticfaw run. The other side was about to break also. Broke where it transitions from straight rails to the tongue.

Fortunately there was a local guy that knew what he was doing to fix it. Sandwiched the joints with 1/2" plate and seal welded it. Myco said my hitch was too rigid so I bought a torsion hitch like Nascats.

YIKES!!

Appears that Myco just filled the pie cutout w/ welding rod.
I can't see inside the C-Channel but pictured here are 3 new trailers I've had built from 2 different manufacturers (Myco Competitors) and both have gusseting and reinforcing in that area.
I've never seen any fatigue in that area.

Broward Trailer boxes internally all joints and bends for added strength
Broward Trailer goes to the extra effort of boxing the inside of any joints like this, welded or bent. We have never had an issue.

Up until recently did torsion / energy absorbing hitches even exist?
I ask b/c being told your hitch is TOO rigid seems like a crock when 99% of the ball mounts out there in USE are rigid?
As much as I love my setup, torsion hitches can't make up 1/10th of 1% of all ball mounts sold over the years so I sorta question explanation WarParty was given.
